Residence Hall Neighborhoods and Floor Plans

The undergraduate residence halls at the University of Rhode Island are conveniently located between the upper-eastern academic/teaching sector (including the Quadrangle) and the lower-western athletic and recreation sector (including the Ryan Center).  Our undergraduate residences are grouped into five distinct neighborhoods along a north/south axis from Barlow Circle to Flagg Road.  Butterfield Road, which becomes Heathman Road at its northern end, serves as the main vehicular thoroughfare running through the residential sector.  Included in the residential sector are two dining facilities (Butterfield Dining Hall and Hope Commons) and the University’s Health Services facility.  URI assigns most of its first year students in “freshman focused” residence halls - referred to collectively as the “Freshman Village”.  These freshman halls are denoted by (F) in the residential neighborhood and floor plan links listed below.
